Swiss Travel Pass 2026: Prices, What's Covered & Is It Worth It?

The Swiss Travel Pass costs CHF 254 (about $318) for 3 consecutive days in 2nd class and CHF 499 (about $624) for 15 days, per the official price list checked on November 8, 2026. It covers trains, buses and boats across Switzerland, public transport in more than 90 towns, more than 500 museums and three mountains (Rigi, Stanserhorn and Stoos); most other mountains, including Jungfraujoch, are only discounted. It pays off if your full-fare tickets add up to more than about CHF 67 a day on a 6-day pass; for one or two bases, the CHF 150 Half Fare Card is often cheaper.

Why this site exists

Hi, I'm Elisa.

Born in Lausanne, I spent my early childhood in Switzerland before moving to the south of France. I've traveled all over the world since, and I come back to Switzerland every single year to hike. Every trail on this site is one I've walked, and every soak is one I've earned.

Most Switzerland guides treat the mountains and the spas as two different trips. They're not: the best day in the Alps ends in 36°C thermal water with your boots drying by the door. Swiss Wander pairs every trail, ski resort and winter day with the closest place to soak, with US-friendly units, transit details and honest notes on cost.
